2024 CCA Schedule
NBSS CCA
CCAs are an integral part of our students’ holistic education. Through CCA, students discover their interests and talents while developing values and competencies that will prepare them for a rapidly changing world. CCA also promotes friendships among students from diverse backgrounds as they learn, play and grow together. Participation in CCA fosters social integration and deepens students’ sense of belonging, commitment and sense of responsibility to school, community and nation.
CCA Objectives:

Breadth of experiences:Students in each CCA being introduced and exposed to a variety of programmes and activities.

Progressive:a comprehensive plan is in place to develop the students progressively in the CCAs.

Enjoyment and connection:Students have adequate time during CCA to connect and collaborate with one another, and enjoy the experience.

Team Spirit:Students establish good peer relationship and teamwork within the CCA.

Competencies development:Students develop character, and citizenship, and achieve the 21st century skills, while identify their interests and talents.
The above are considered and covered in the 3 tiered approaches.

Learning Domains
Exposure Students are exposed to a variety of knowledge, values and skills. e.g. a soccer player is taught how to defend when an opposing team is attacking by watching a demo. e.g. a symphonic band member learning how to play a musical instrument. |
Practice Students are given opportunities to exercise the knowledge, values and skills they have acquired. e.g. a soccer player practises and develops himself in the area of defending. e.g. a symphonic band member practising playing the musical instrument. |
Performance Students are given the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, values and skills. e.g. a soccer player is given the opportunity to assess his competency and showcase his talent by playing in defensive role in a soccer competition. e.g. a symphonic band member playing the instrument for school as part of a band performance. |

Our school is offering 16 CCAs in 4 categories, namely The Performing & Visual Arts, Sports & Games, Uniformed Groups and Clubs & Societies. All students are compulsory to take up at least one CCA in their secondary school life.
