Application Process

Centralised DSA-Sec Application Process 

From 2019, application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. The application is free-of-charge. For more details, please refer to MOE website at https://beta.moe.gov.sg/dsa/ . 

You will need your SingPass. If you do not have a SingPass, you may apply through your child’s primary school. 

For children not in MOE mainstream primary schools, please obtain a registration number from the MOE Customer Service Centre at MOE HQ, 1 North Buona Vista Road, Singapore 138675. 

The application period if from 8 May 2019, 9 am to 4 June 2019, 3 pm. 

Supporting Documents (to be submitted digitally via the portal)

For Art, we encourage applicants to submit a link to an online portfolio of their artworks in the non-school based awards/activities section. Applicants may create an online portfolio using platforms such as Google Drive/Docs/Slides. 

No other supporting documents are required. Your child’s primary school information such as Primary 5 and 6 results, CCA and VIA involvement, school-based achievements and awards, and NAPFA results, will be automatically shared with the school. You do not need to submit this information.

Interview & Aptitude Test

An appointment will be made for the applicant to come to the school for an interview and aptitude test, either on:

Thursday, 25 July 2019 (from 3.00 pm), or
Friday, 26 July 2019 (from 3.00 pm)

Applicants are to bring the actual or certified true copies of the supporting documents (including portfolio of artworks) to the interview.


A letter or email notifying the outcome of the application will be sent to the applicant by Wednesday,  29 August 2019. The letter or email will indicate whether the applicant has been given a Confirmed Offer, put on the Waiting List or not accepted.
